About
I was born in Rome and grew up in Toronto. I spent my early years in advertising as an art director, at Y&R, Saatchi & Saatchi, McCann, and an agency of my own, before moving into film for good.
My first short, Acaluma, won a jury award in Rome, and the ones that followed picked up prizes elsewhere, including Best Short Film at the Queen’s International Film Festival in New York. The work has taken me to the US, Italy, Colombia, Argentina, New Zealand and across Europe. I also shot, graded and edited Jack Davies’s feature Interview with an Android, which went on to win at festivals in the UK and the US.
The rest of the time I shoot and edit for brands, among them Google, Barclays and IKEA, and I run a studio, acalumaFILMS, making films for businesses. I’m based in London, and usually in the middle of something.
